Communicating trust in uncertain times

by | In the Media

“Our natural instinct is to reassure those affected in a crisis. However, over-reassuring does not build confidence. Nowhere in the world do people feel reassured that the Coronavirus is under control.”

In this article on COVID-19 and how to manage a crisis, Neeran Naidoo, Hewers CEO and Partner assesses how best to communicate trust in a crisis and reflects on how crises are often made worse by bad communication which causes more reputation damage than the issue itself. The article was first published in the Daily Maverick on 12 March 2020.
